Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
Unless exceptions apply, if you qualify as a European consumer, you have the right to withdraw from a contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The 14-day withdrawal period begins on the day you or a third party (other than the carrier) physically receives the goods.
If you do not fit this qualification, the rights described in this section do not apply.
Exceptions for Perishable and Hygiene-Sensitive Goods
The right of withdrawal does not apply to the following goods:
- Perishable food items or products with a short shelf life.
- Opened or unsealed food products (including snacks, condiments, or beverages) due to hygiene and safety regulations.
- Custom-made or personalized goods, or products made according to your specifications.
- Hygiene-sensitive kitchenware (e.g., opened utensils, cutting boards, or food-contact containers) if the packaging seal has been broken after delivery.
If your product falls under one of these categories, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds unless the item is defective or damaged upon arrival.
Withdrawal Procedure (Eligible Goods)
To withdraw from a contract for eligible non-perishable goods (e.g., kitchen utensils, accessories, or tableware), please notify us clearly before the 14-day withdrawal period expires.
You may:
- Complete and submit the withdrawal form provided in Section 8, or
- Contact us directly by email at info@inlumino.nl with a clear statement of your decision to withdraw.
We will send you an acknowledgement of receipt of your withdrawal by email without delay.
Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from a contract correctly, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of the date on which we receive the returned goods or proof that you have returned the goods, whichever occurs first.
Reimbursement will be made using the same payment method as the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
You will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless they are defective, damaged, or incorrect.
Returning Physical Goods
Unless we have offered to collect the goods, you must return them to us within 14 days after notifying us of your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you hand the goods to the carrier before this 14-day period expires.
Returned goods must be:
- Unused and in their original condition
- Complete with all accessories and documentation
- In their original packaging
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or confirmation of their dispatch, whichever occurs first.
Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Goods — Statutory Rights
Please inspect your order upon arrival. If an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, please notify us as soon as possible after discovery by email at info@inlumino.nl, including:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Photographs of the defect or damage
Prompt reporting helps us resolve your case efficiently. However, this request does not limit or affect your statutory rights under applicable EU law.
We will review your case and, at no additional cost to you, arrange one of the following remedies:
- Replacement of the defective or incorrect item, or
- Full refund, including any delivery costs incurred
Food products Your statutory rights apply from the date of delivery and are assessed based on whether the goods conformed to the contract at the time of delivery. Please be aware that claims relating to food products are inherently subject to the product’s stated shelf life and storage conditions. We are unable to accept claims for issues arising after the best-before or use-by date has passed, or where the product has not been stored as indicated on the packaging.
Non-food items (e.g., kitchenware, tableware, accessories) Under EU law (Directive 2019/771/EU), you are entitled to a statutory guarantee of 2 years from the date of delivery for goods that do not conform to the contract. If a defect becomes apparent within 12 months of delivery, it is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery unless we can demonstrate otherwise.
This statutory guarantee does not affect any other rights you may have under applicable law.
